Ok, so most of my work has subsided, so I have more time now. So I’m not on semi-hiatus anymore.
Another thing I’d like to let you guys know is that I’ve created a new blog. Basically that blog will have reviews of recent releases, with a DL link for the release. But of course, since they’re reviews, posts won’t occur as often as here. And anyway, you should depend on that blog for DLs. Anyway, I haven’t actually thought of a name for the blog, but you can go to the blog HERE. Give it a visit? I’ll have one review up tonight. I am now on semi-hiatus for the next two weeks. I’ve got so many assignments, papers, orals, and tests it’s not even funny. I think teachers do this on purpose or something. Everything within 2 weeks. -.- So ya, I’ll be posting max, 2 posts a day. I also will not be making the music show posts (MuBank, MuCore, Inkigayo) this weekend and next weekend. If I see some perfs worth mentioning, I’ll post (like I’m going to do now) but I’m not capping the whole show.

Singing contest perfs! My college held a singing contest (which I didn’t attend; sick T.T) but ya the winning group sang DBSK songs! I saw this on ONETVXQ forums and thought I’d share my thoughts about this…it seems the SME has acknowledged the fact their contracts do have problems, and they want to re-contract all its artists based on an exclusive contract based on the law. Allkpop posted this up, and basically almost every comment was completely mindless; do people know how to read? They honestly thought that DBSK is getting a new contract from SM. Not once in the entire translated article was there a line saying this. Which is why sometimes I don’t really like Allkpop; they twist the news.
Note this: “Under the new exclusive contract, the moment it’s signed it would be protected till the contract ended, if not the current situation would repeat over and over again in the future.” Do people understand what this means? That means once SM creates a new exclusive contract for its artists, once they sign, then the contract is protected until it ends. This doesn’t mean it can stop an artist from actually going to court, since everyone has the right to do so, but it means this will cause more restraints for an artist who wishes to change their contract. Which means, most likely, they wish to close the loopholes so this huge mess won’t happen again. I just wanted to clear that up. But the fact SM is acknowledging that contracts have problems is a big step up. It seems like they’re realizing what they should’ve done; then this whole mess wouldn’t have happened.

Taiwanese singer Landy Wen (溫嵐) recently made a comeback with a new album called ‘Dancing Queen’ and I saw the tracklist, and saw a song called ‘D.I.S.C.O.’ Naturally I became curious, because Korean singer Uhm Jung Hwa also has the same song! Remember? It featured TOP from Big Bang in it! Well, surprise, it’s the same song! It’s a remake. The song ‘D.I.S.C.O.’ is actually a remake of Kylie Minogue’s song. The MV for it is actually similar to Uhm Jung Hwa’s, and I don’t know Landy Wen too too well (I’ve listened to about 3 of her songs) but I think this version in Mandarin is pretty good too! Which do you like more?
