Super Junior KPOP Korean Music
I was about to leave the DBSK post as the last one for the day, and then I spotted this. Yes once again, Heechul kisses a guy. This happened at the Nanjing (in China) Super Show during his performance of Michyeo, which by the way is korean for Crazy. Wasn’t the last time he kissed a guy ALSO during his performance of Crazy? This time, it’s another Suju member, Sungmin. It was sorta ugh to see ELFs posting things like ‘oh why Sungminnie?’ and ‘Why him? Sungminnie is too cute!’ *shudders* If you decide to comment, PLEASE don’t add ‘-ie’s to the end of their names O.O Plus, what, cute guys can’t be gay and kissed by other guys? Anyway I’ll end my mini rant to ask you guys a question; fan service again? Or is he trying to tell us he’s out of the closet? You know, I think Heechul’s gay, girls, sorry. Is Sungmin gay? Hm, not too sure, it’s only the first kiss. But then again, the Suju boys have always been known for random acts of gayness, like pulling down each other’s pants down on stage and on shows, kissing one another during concerts and perfs…Once again I ask, fan service or coming out of the closet? What do you think? Watch the fancam vid below. It’s incredibly blurry, but you’ll see what approximately happened.

YAAAY! Super proud of the boys! SM stated that a total of 502 836 copies of MIROTIC were sold as of Tuesday. The album was released on the 26th of September, 2008, and sold 167 697 online, and 335 140 offline. The Music Industry Association of Korea stated that this number is the highest figure of all Korean single albums that were released last year. It’s also the highest in 5 years since the 8th album of Kim Gunmo sold 529 416 albums in 2003. This number was reached only 103 days after the album release. Not only that, the album topped charts in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Hong Kong. There were preorders of 300 000 copies before MIROTIC was released! This is crazy! I knew DBSK was doing great, but not this well! Aja my uljjangs!  Add oil! HWAAAAAITING! Okay, I’m done now ^^

dbsk Yes, hwaiting indeed!

Taeyeon’s (SNSD) Hospital Incident

SNSD Taeyeon and Super Junior Kangin

This is all over the net, antis+fans are going crazy (ok exaggerating that part haha!) so I decided I’d post this. Recently Taeyeon of SNSD went to the hospital at lunch time for a flu shot. She ranted a bit about her visit on her radio show MBC FM4U의 `강인 태연의 친한 친구`, with Kangin.

I went to the hospital to receive a shot because I was very ill with the flu. But when I arrived, the nurse told me to just lie down and wait, because it was lunch time. But she was a nurse, instead of telling me to wait, couldn’t she have just given me a shot? I almost caused a scene, but I simply stated, ‘How could you be like that,’ and left. Is it a patients duty to be sick on time?

Kangin replied:

Tell me which hospital it was. It looks like that nurse has lost her mind. She should just eat lunch forever.

SM Entertainment released an apology:

Taeyeon and Kangin should’ve been a little more careful with their words, unfortunately they weren’t. However, there were no evil intentions. All of us are very sorry about this incident.

My personal thoughts? First of all, Taeyeon and Kangin really didn’t have to rant on the radio like that. What was the point? To tell people not to go to that hospital? The thing is, things like this happen all the time, people complain, people get over it. Nurses do have to eat you know, they’re only human. And apparently in SK doctors have to give permission first, so that’s two people that have to deal with you. She should’ve just waited for a while, because from what she said, it sounds like she didn’t even wait, just got up and left. Hospitals run according the severity, nurses won’t come running to help you for a shot and leave some dying person. It is lunch time, there should be other doctors and nurses on duty, but maybe they’re busy with other patients that were there first or in worse condition? People here have to wait even in emergency situations. My piano teacher had an asthma attack and still had to wait, because there are other people too. However, it is understood that it sucks having to wait. When it’s you who’s waiting, you’d get frustrated too. Just like how as a student you totally want to be able to use your cell phone in school, but if you were a teacher you’d totally not want that. She was probably frustrated due to being sick. Being irritated is normal. It’s not that big of a deal, people are just going nutsos and blowing this into some huge deal. Sucks for SM, how many times have they issued apologies for something their artists said? *shakes head* Artists can feel free to express their opinions, just don’t say it toward the public, talk among yourselves, like us normal people. Being irritated is ok and human, but she shouldn’t have said it on the radio. Because now it’s become some huge controversy.

Taegoon – Perf (MBC Music Core) – Call Me – Korean

Date: January 17 2009
On MBC Music Core, Taegoon had his debut perf, and sang Call Me. The more I watch him, the more he reminds me of Se7en and Rain. Like he’s them merged. Like some people said, he looks goodlooking from afar, but not as much up close. I believe his mic was a messed up because in the beginning his singing got broken off and he had to adjust it. His dancing is wow, great stuff. Vocals, we’ll have to see, since this performance didn’t show much.

Super Junior M on A Date with Lu Yu Part 2 of 2

This is the 2nd episode (part 2) of the interview/show with Suju M on A Date with Lu Yu. It aired on the 13th, and part 1 aired on the 12th. I’ll once again summarize approximately what’s going on for those who don’t understand/can’t read chinese. No english subs, sorry. Watch the 1st part HERE. PHEW that took ages to write up! I can say this show make me give more respect and like Super Junior-M a lot more. I didn’t say Super Junior, just Super Junior-M. Very cool, like Lu Yu said, bringing two countries together ^^

Clip with voiceover. Talks about how they biggest difficulty for the blended Korean+Chinese group SujuM was language (chinese). They show Donghae and Hangeng. Donghae is practicing saying chinese, hehe it’s cute! Hangeng says everyone’s been working hard to learn chinese. Siwon sings a few lines from “yue leng dai biao wo de shing” (The moon represents my heart) an old chinese song. Hangeng asks Henry how his chinese is. Henry replies that because he grew up in Canada (whatwhatwhat! my country XD) and he cuts off and laughs. Then Hangeng says that Henry grew up in Canada so he’s a ‘hwah qiao’ (erm…chinese-canadian? dunno how to explain properly XD) He continues and says that today is the first time Henry is in China. And that before they arrived he kept saying ‘Hangeng Ge Hangeng Ge’ (ge is brother, equivalent of hyung in korean) and he was really happy to be in China. Henry says that he’ll try very hard to learn chinese so he can communicate/socialize with everyone. Clip ends. Lu Yu asks Hangeng when they’ve been learning chinese, what phrase/sentence is most ‘local’. And the crowd goes ‘fu wu yuan!’ ROFL (waiter!) And Hangeng says that when they go eating Kyuhyun is always the one who calls the waiter ‘fu wu yuan’ and then makes Hangeng order. Lu Yu asks what about the others? And Hangeng says for Ryeowook he taught him something more ‘dong bae hwa’ (northeast speak) and it’s ‘jai xing fu’ (not sure again, directly jai is thief…aw man dunno how to explain xing fu…it’s like happy, in a way, but not entirely…gah dunno how to explain T.T) And then Ryeowook laughs and says ‘Wo(me/I) jai xing fu’ with a hilarious accent and the whole crowd goes ‘awwww’ Then Hangeng goes, ‘eh, gong bao tsi ding’ and I’m sure this is a food, duck something lol. Ryeowook laughs and says it with his thumbs up. Lu Yu asks for Siwon, and Hangeng says he never had to teach him because he schooled in China for a while. For Donghae, he says ‘ni shi wo men de chuen bu” (you are all of us or you are all we have), crowd goes ‘aww’ and Lu Yu goes ‘wo de tian ah’ lol (my sky/god). Hangeng says there’s also something else, something about ‘bao bai’, ’shing geng bao bai’ (direct translation heart lung treasure, a romantic sort of phrase, pretty much to say someone is really important to them, like a heart or lung) and then Donghae understands and starts saying random chinese phrases that are of the romantic sort ‘wo de chen ai de’ (my darling/love), ‘wo de bao bai men’ (my treasure/important). Donghae gets confused and apologizes to Lu Yu, and Lu Yu says ‘huh? you said it correctly’ and Donghae goes ‘oh’ and thanks her. The crowd yells out for Siwon to talk, and he says ‘ni men shi wo de huo guo’ (you all are my hot pot ROFL) Then they yell for Hangeng to speak, and he just keeps chuckling, and Siwon walks over to him and whispers something and he laughs. Then Hangeng explains that Siwon really likes to eat hot pot that’s why he said you all are my hot pot HAHA! Then he says Siwon told him to say ‘ni shi wo de zhao zhi’ (you are my dumpling) Clip of them at their dorm, and how they pass the time. Sooo funny rofl. They’re reading, watching korean dramas on laptops XD and Ryeowook is playing around on this cell. And hand stand LOL! Ryeowook takes a pic on his cell of him and 2 others and shows it to the camera hahaha (samsung anycall phone!) and somebody says don’t let the fans get scared and they all laugh. Siwon gets embarassed and pulls up his hoodie and hides his face. Siwon goes and becomes the ‘director’. Clip goes to Hangeng’s mom’s dumpling restaurant and talks a bit about that. IT’s popular among ‘feng zhi’ (noodles) lol it’s slang for fans, because when in chinese (mandarin or cantonese) when some people say fans it sounds ‘fan see’ which ends up sounding like noodles, so people just say that. Clip ends, Hangeng talks about bringing dumplings for the other members from the restaurant because it’s hard for them to go out. Lu Yu asks them about missing home, apparently Henry was in Thailand for a concert with the others, and spent $10 000 RMB (ren men bi, chinese currency) on hotel phone bills ROFL! Lu Yu asks if he brought enough money, and he said his got his company (SM) to pay! Lu Yu asks if he paid SM back and he said ‘don’t tell them’ hahahaha! Lu Yu asks if they ever got so homesick they cried, and asks Kyuhyun, Siwon clears his throat and points at Kyuhyun from behind, Kyuhyun thinks and says he doesn’t think so, and people say he’s lying lol. And he goes no it’s true. Lu Yu turns to Henry, and he says cried before. He says once, and Siwon goes ‘or twice’ and pretends to be crying as he plays violin HAHAHAHA!

Henry talks about him playing violin +crying. Lu Yu says it must be difficult to cry and play and the same time rofl! And he says no, he plays violin and then sometimes he thinks about his family so then he gets teary, like Siwon showed. Lu Yu asks them what ways they use to forget when they miss their family. Ryeowook says he’ll talk with the other members, and because mom and dad arent’ there, they pretend Hangeng is dad and Donghae or Siwon is mom HAHA! And that’s how they comfort one another, and there’s also assistant noona (assistant ‘older sister/jeje’) and manager hyung (manager ‘older brother/gege’) and he says ‘hai tsee’ (child) lol. Siwon says they don’t have a weird relationship LOL! Ryeowook continues and says he’ll call his parents in the morning and at night time. Lu Yu asks Siwon, and he says he has two ways. One, call his parents, and two, find something to concentrate on doing so it distracts him. Then a clip plays, talks about them having multiple talents, such as hosting and acting in movies. It shows Hangeng hosting a show called “Ching Cheng Wu Tai’ (direct translation; Young Dance Stage) and that all the members went to support him. Show his NGs hahaha! THen shows a short perf of U. Clip ends, Lu Yu asks them to showcase their talents. She gets Zhou Mi to sing in korean. He says he’ll sing a song he used when he first entered SM, some UCC competition which he won. He doesn’t remember all the lyrics so he brought a little paper. He takes something from Ryeowook, and Lu Yu asks ‘what are you two doing?’ Then he sings, and he sounds really good singing this ballad; no background music either! Then a short clip plays of Hangeng dancing contemporary, and she asks Donghae and Hangeng to dance it. Donghae is like ‘wo bu hui’ (I don’t know[how]) and he says ‘Hangeng ge, yi ge ren, yi ge ren, gai ni men kan’ (Hangeng hyung [brother], one person/alone, one person/alone, for you to see/watch] and haha Lu Yu replies ‘leng ge ren, leng ge ren’ (two people, two people) and he continues and says that ‘Hangeng is better at dancing at this. He’ll dance this and I’ll dance something else’ Hangeng dances, and then Donghae dances hiphop and gets Henry to beat box for him for the music. Good dancing! Lu Yu, she says his body is very odd/strange, anywhere/anything can move HAHA! She says he danced well, and asks Hangeng ‘the professional’, and he says that he thinks Donghae danced better than him. Lu Yu says they’re both very modest, and both danced well. Then she says someone requested Ryeowook sing Kiss Goodbye by Wang Lee Hom. Then he says that he’s sang that song many times, so he prepared another song for the show, and he pulls out another little paper hahahah! Lu Yu says ‘no wonder for all the little papers’ and Ryeowook opens his paper, and Zhou Mi says ‘compared to mine much bigger’. Ryeowook says he’s singing Zhou Lin Kong’s ‘Yuen Leng Wo’ (Forgive me). He sings the chorus (i think), sounds greeeat! Again, no background music. Lu Yu gets up and says she’s curious to see his paper, and she looks at it and sees it’s han yu pinyin (like what i’m doing, like writing ‘yuen leng wo’ instead of the actual characters) Turns out he listened to the song and wrote the pinyin by himself. The next morning he got Zhou Mi to look at it, and he says it was very hard. Lu Yu turns to Siwon and asks what he’s going to sing. He says he’s going to sing ‘ai ni yi wuan lien’ (love you a thousand years) and that he can imitate Andy Lau’s voice(HK originated singer. veeery popular singer in the 90s. still very well known now)

Siwon sings one line ‘ai ni yi wuan lien’ and get shy after, hahaha it was so funny! He hides his face in his hands, and says he wants to listen to Henry play the violin LOL. Lu Yu says ‘after you sing’ so he sings. Again, nice voice, but doesn’t sound like Andy Lau. I think i preferred Zhou Mi and Ryeowook’s voices. Then it’s Kyu Hyun’s turn. Siwon says ‘this guy sings so well. it’s good i went before him’ HAHA!! Kyuhyun sings. Veery nice voice. His pronunciation was very good, you could hardly hear an accent. He forget the lyrics, but hey, he didn’t have a little piece of paper. Then the crowd wants Donghae to sing too. So he sings. Not bad, but again, prefer Zhou Mi, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun’s voices. Then Lu Yu says that the fans wants every member to sing a sentence or so, and gets Henry to sing. He asks what he should sing, and they tell him to sing Julia by Wang Lee Hom. He says there’s no beat, so the other members make a beat for him to sing the acappella. Good stuff. Could hear an english accent in his mandarin haha. Hangeng sings also, he sings ‘yue ren ma tou’ and i dunno why people are laughing, I see Ryeowook laughing. Clip of them going to some meeting with reporters. When they walk back you hear Zhou Mi going ‘dai ja hao, wo shi hungry.’ (hello everyone, i am hungry) and Henry goes ‘dai ja hao, wo shi henry.’ and ‘wo shi hungry’ and others go ‘hungry hungry henry’ rofl and they go into a fanmeeting? or maybe concert. Anyway they huddle up and say to do their best, try hard in beijing, and then they perform. Clip ends, Lu Yu asks if they’ve been happy in Beijing, with so many fans. Kyuhyun gets confused and says ‘hao’ (good) Donghae replies in mandarin (whooo) that when they went to Beijing they could feel lots of love from the fans and they were very happy for that. Fans cheer, and he says thank you to them. Lu Yu asks if they have understood/learnt more China and Beijing more now than before, and Donghae seems to not understand/doesn’t know how to answer so Hangeng cuts in for him, and it was so cute when he stuck his tongue out and made a face. Hangeng says that ever since they went to Beijing they never went out, to visit any places or walk around, and were always stuck at home. Lu Yu says ’so that’s like in the beginning when you guys just got to Korea’ and Hangeng agrees. Then Lu Yu says she wants to test them about China, and that it shouldn’t be too hard, maybe a little bit. 3 people go up on screen and she asks them if they know who the girl is. First one is Guo Jing Jing (olympic athlete for diving, won gold medals in Beijing Olympics) and Donghae knew, he said her name. Then Lu Yu asks if they knew what sport she practiced, Siwon said swimming. Donghae says diving. 2nd picture is Yao Ming (super tall basketball player! he was on the lakers i think…don’t remember. you have to know him!) I believe Kyuhyun answered. Lu Yu says very good, not bad. And Hangeng says that they were in China during the olympics so they knew some of the athletes. Something was going on with Kyuhyun and/or Siwon and Lu Yu asked if something was wrong/something happened, and Kyuhyun said. The crowd was saying ’something’s going on’ and Lu Yu says ‘yes i think so too, something’s definately going on’ lol.

Then another picture shows up, road sign, and she goes ‘oh this one’s too hard’ and the fans start yelling ‘juo!’ (i’m not sure what it is) and Donghae kept tyring to pronounce it, was cute. Lu Yu says ‘it’s ok if you don’t know this one, it’s too hard. Siwon do you know?’ and Siwon goes ‘Yes I know’. Hangeng asks him in korean ‘yiga ara?’ (do you know it?) and he answers ‘mula’ (don’t know) ROFL! and Hangeng says ‘he really actually doesn’t know’ Lu Yu says that they’re slowly getting in touch with China, it’s already very good, and that their work is more important. Then she turns to Hangeng and says ‘i heard they’re looking for a girlfriend for you’ and he replies ‘no we’ve given up this thought.’ and the fans go ‘ahh’ and he goes ‘you ni men tsai mah!’ (we have you guys!) and the fans go ‘OOOOOOOOHHHHH!’ hahahhaa then Kyuhyun says ‘he’ll deal with it himself well. you guys think about it’ HAHA and Lu Yu goes ‘oooh i understand. underground work eh?’ and Hangeng says no, really, no. Then the fans boo, and Hangeng says ‘you guys don’t believe me? it’s true’ Siwon goes ‘if i were a girl, i’d like him too’ and Hangeng goes ‘Zhou Mi understands me, he knows me. We always talk, he would know whether I had [a girlfriend] or not’ and Lu Yu goes ‘ok. you don’t have [a gf]. what about the others?’ And he goes no nobody does and the fans boo haha, and Donghae goes ‘ni men!’ (you guys!) Hangeng says because their schedules are very tight they don’t have time to have girlfriends. And he says that if he really had, he’d be worried breaking up with him anytime because he really don’t have time to spend with her. Siwon says ‘wo men yao wo de ge mi. mei shi’ (we have our fans. no problem/doesn’t matter) Henry says he wants to make a Chinese girlfriend and the whole crowd goes ‘OOOOH!’ and Lu Yu asks whether it’s true or false. Then Siwon goes ‘jen de! ni men, zing dan zhi, gan she me ne? wo may you pen you, shuo yi…’ (it’s true! you guys, for christmas, what are you doing? i don’t have friends, so…) and he breaks off and laughs hahaha. Henry talks and says that he doesn’t speak good chinese, so… and Siwon grabs him and says ‘ni hen shai!’ (you’re you small/young!) and Hangeng tells Henry to ask him instead rofl. Zhou Mi says that one time he talked to Henry and asked if they wanted to go out the next day, and Henry says he wants to meet Zhou Mi’s friends. So tehn everntually all 7 of them met his friends. The crowd goes ‘who?’ and he goes ’shh, bi mi’ (shh secret). Lu Yu says ‘boys or girls? Of course girls!’ and Zhou Mi says he has two good friends, so boy and girl. He says when he calls them, all the others fight to talk on the phone too. Henry says then that because 5 of them only went to China then, they’re Chinese isn’t good and are unable to practice chinese since they can’t go out so they can’t make human contact. And this gives them pressure because they want to learn chinese. Hangeng says that whenever he goes to leave Henry always comes and asks where he’s going and to bring him because he wants to go out HAHA! Then Lu Yu says it must be better in the winter they can wear masks, and Henry says there’s fans on their floor and Siwon starts to speak but then says he’s grateful for them. They have fans in the building, Lu Yu says them being idols/singers it’s important to have fans, and that’s what they have to sacrifice. Then she gets Hangeng on behalf of SuJu-M to say when/where their concert will be. Crowd yells Beijing, Hangeng says there’ll be a concert in February in Beijing. And in January 17-18 it’ll be Namjing, 2 shows. And he says for Beijing it should be around February, and will be spending Valentine’s Day with them, fans go nuts lol. Lu Yu says they’ll all be looking forward to their concert in China, and Siwon tells her to go to it, and that they’ll give her free tickets. Hangeng says the Beijing concert isn’t confirmed, but in preparation. Lu Yu says she’s curious to see how they reach their dream step by step. She says that she thinks it’s great what they’re doing, no just singing but bringing to countries (china+SK) together. She wishes them to sing better and better. They thank her, they perform At Least I Have You (Zhi Shou Wan Yao Ni)

May Doni – Perf (KBS Music Bank) – Mollaing – Korean

Date: january 16 2009
May Doni made her debut performance on KBS Music Bank yesterday (January 16). This is a very nice song, and she definately has a very nice voice. I think she’ll get somewhere. But as for being dubbed the female Se7en, I don’t really understand…I dont’ find any similarities between her and Se7en. Their style doesn’t seem to be the same o.O Or maybe that’s just in the single she just released? The first track ID (I’m May Doni) is very hiphop, but other tracks are pop+ballad…
She’s not really pretty, but she’s definately got talent. But here we are again, another stylist that needs to be fired. Hair + clothes? Thumbs down. Hair is horrible, clothes look way too mature for her. It looks like clothes OLs (Office Lady, HK slang for women who work in offices XD) would wear to work.

After School – Perf (MBC Music Core) – Playgirlz & Ah – Korean

Date: January 17 2009
After School had their debut perf today on MBC Music Core. It was solid, pretty good performance. Ah is really getting to me haha! So catchy! ‘turi’ XD They’re weaker in vocals, and better at dancing + rapping. Apparently one of the members, Park Ga Hee is Yoochun’s(DBSK) ex!? O.O I can’t tell which one though since I don’t know their faces with their names hahaha…
